Provides administrative and operational support to Tangirnaq Native Village. This role involves assisting with the execution of tribal programs, services, and initiatives aimed at supporting the social, cultural, and economic needs of the community. The position requires strong organizational skills and, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and a commitment to supporting the day-to-day operations of the Tribe.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

  • Provide support to Tangirnaq Native Village Executive Director who is responsible for effectively administering and overseeing the Tangirnaq Native Village.
  • Provide support and assist to the Tribe with meeting and greeting clients, receiving calls and taking messages, receiving and filing or processing incoming Enrollment applications paperwork, and assisting with Tribe projects and administrative duties as assigned by the TNV Executive Director.
  • Determine priority of and process incoming correspondence and telephone calls. Take messages and route calls accordingly.
  • Work independently with TNV Executive Director to coordinate and ensure accurate and timely completion of program projects tasks.  Independently prioritize, organize and complete work load and job responsibilities.
  • Assist with cultural programming including workshops, tribal library, and other events.
  • Assist with citizen services including enrollment, and youth scholarships.
  • Assist with maintaining office operations including inventory and ordering of supplies
  • Other duties may be assigned.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.


Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent and two (2) years clerical experience in an office environment performing duties similar to those described above.
