Provides administrative and operational support to Kaguyak Village Council. This role involves assisting with the execution of tribal programs, services, and initiatives aimed at supporting the social, cultural, and economic needs of the community. The position requires strong organizational skills and, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and a commitment to supporting the day-to-day operations of the Tribe.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

- Provides support and assist to the Tribe with meeting and greeting clients, receiving calls and taking messages, receiving and filing or processing incoming Enrollment applications paperwork, and assisting with Tribe projects and administrative duties as assigned by the Kaguyak Village Council.
- Determines priority of and process incoming correspondence and telephone calls. Takes messages and routes calls accordingly.
- Works independently with Kaguyak Village Council to coordinate and ensures accurate and timely completion of program projects tasks. Independently prioritize, organize and complete work load and job responsibilities.
- Assists with citizen services including enrollment, and youth scholarships.
- Meets and greets Tribal members, community members and visitors, and answers phones in a courteous and professional manner.
- Prepares necessary documents for Tribal office operations, including but not limited to: Check requests, Purchase order requests, Travel documents, Tribal resolutions, correspondence, etc.
- Works with KANA departments and programs as necessary. Assists Tribal members and KANA beneficiaries with applications for Tribal and KANA services. Facilitates the collection and transmission of applications and supporting documents.
- Sets up, prepares agendas and reports, and takes minutes at Tribal Council Meetings. Maintain Council meeting and resolution records for the Council.
- Develops and maintains a system of procurement and inventory of office supplies and equipment.
- Prepares travel arrangements and accommodations for Tribal office employees and council members. Gathers required documents and receipts from travelers and prepare after travel paperwork for finance.
- Maintains a filing system within the tribal office; supplies, travel, reports, and enrollment files.
- Gathers, organizes and prepares information for comprehensive reports on behalf of the Tribe or KANA programs providing services to the Tribe.
- Assists with community-wide activities that promote and strengthen community wellness.
- Assists Tribal Manager and Tribal Administrator with program and funding research to expand services and opportunities for the Tribe.
- Develops and/or maintains enrollment forms which may include letters of acceptance, rejections, enrollment certificates, Tribal identification cards, and application forms pertinent to membership in the Tribe.
- Ensures and maintains the highest level of confidentiality.
- Supports the Container farm and subsequent food sovereignty goals of the Tribe.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position may provide limited/ intermittent oversight to Youth interns with the support of the Tribal Manager and the KANA Workforce Development Team.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
