Provides clerical and administrative assistance to the Workforce and Economic Development team, as assigned. Assists in processing applications for services, determines eligibility, screens for and identifies needs, and makes referrals for wrap-around services under KANA’s P.L. 102-477 Plan. Assists participants in the Liigwik and is responsible for maintaining the space.

  •  Maintains a high standard of customer service and professionalism by utilizing proper phone etiquette, corresponding in a courteous and respectful manner, and greeting visitors, staff, and stakeholders with professionalism at all times.
  •  Assists the Eligibility and Special Projects Coordinator with scheduling, maintaining the Liigwik calendar, and submitting Zendesk tickets to support Liigwik operations and needs.
  • Ensures the Liigwik space is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies; verifies that laptops and other equipment are functioning properly and that patrons adhere to space use guidelines.
  • Provides direct assistance to patrons in completing employment, education, and related applications consistent with the Liigwik’s purpose.
  • Refers and assists patrons in connecting with the appropriate 477 services, as well as other internal programs and external resources, as needed.
  • Maintains accurate records of Liigwik usage, laptop checkouts, and related activities.
  • Assists applicants by providing informed service recommendations, completing Client Intake Forms, and collecting required eligibility documents.
  • Receives and processes Client Intake Forms, sends eligibility determination letters, and screens applicants for additional services.
  • Accurately inputs client data and interactions and uploads supporting documentation into the client database.
  • Monitors Navigator assignments in the Eligibility Tracker and follows up with supervisors as needed to ensure timely case management.
  • Completes assigned training modules and materials, and actively participates in trainings, courses, orientations, and professional development opportunities as determined by the Eligibility and Special Projects Coordinator.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent and one-year related experience working with youth ages 14 to 24, youth programs, employment and training programs, or other social services involving clerical/administration, or program support; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
